What waste types you can put into a skip bin.
The identification of your waste type is normally fairly straight forward, however here is a simple guide as to what you can and can’t place in a skip. The waste type affects the price of skip services so it is important to choose the right one for your requirement; if prohibited waste is disposed of in the skip additional disposal charges will apply.
We Don’t Accept:
Concrete
Paint
Fluids
Bricks
Cement Sheeting
Batteries
Car Tyres
Waste oils/liquids or putrescent waste (foods)
Chemicals or hazardous materials.
We Do Accept:
Green waste – Garden waste only. Branches, leaves, grass and clippings
General waste – Household waste (odds and ends, appliances, furniture, rubbish, garden waste), office waste, light construction waste (wood, gyprock, metal)
Mattresses – $15.00 surcharge.
The inclusion of any material containing asbestos, any form of insulation material, or any other dangerous material is strictly prohibited.
